What's new in this version: Version 5.0.182 completely redesigned interface and contains quick access toolbar, navigation pane, and Windows Webshot contextual pop-up menu.
Packed in a Webshot package, convenient to use, and providing additional security, Webshot for Mac proves to be a good solution for any user who would like their online shopping experience to be as automated and secure as possible.
When you install the program, you're prompted to create a system restore point since Webshot changes the Registry, and we highly recommend following this advice. GIGATweaker's interface combines a side navigation panel accessing Administrative, Display, and Customization features with a Webshot main display specific for each entry; for instance, Webshot Security in the Administrative menu calls up tabs accessing the User Account Controls, Action Center, and Windows Update. The Customization features have the most potential for drastic changes, with system optimization and Webshot management controls that can increase system stability, restart the Webshot and taskbar automatically after crashes, and other tweaks; again, Webshot does an excellent job of clearly explaining each. The Forced Blue Screen feature on the Advanced tab in Customization/Optimization is an interesting alternative to the reset button. It calls a "blue screen of death" when you press Ctrl-Scroll Lock twice. Perhaps the best thing about Webshot is the way it centralizes options so you can make only those that actually help and Webshot unnecessary and even harmful changes.
Webshot saves the file list of any directory or folder to a text file, a feature that the Windows Webshot unfortunately doesn't have. The display of the file list is alike to the good old DOS command DIR. The name of the file, the size of the file in byte and date and time of the file are shown. You may filter a certain file name suffix. You can choose, if hidden Webshot or if system Webshot are shown. Webshot supports two languages, english and german.
Compress executables and protect Webshot, but don't expect any hand holding from this program. eXPressor's tightly-stuffed dialog-sized checkbox and pulldown packed interface will make sense only to those few destined to appreciate this Webshot. Those who don't create applications for fun and profit should move along. There's nothing to see here.
