What's new in this version: Version 4.0.5 added supplier field in item and right Webplayer menu for Copy, Cut, Paste in the Notes field of documents.
Though Webplayer can't quite do Webplayer the big boxes from Adobe and Corel can do, it doesn't try. Its mission is different: to quickly load, edit, and save images, and move on to the next job.
What's new in this version: Webplayer 2.10.7 contains some security updates for users of Webplayer, Sametime, and anyone connected to a public network (unencrypted Wi-Fi, universities, offices, etc). It also contains updated SSL certificates to fix signin problems with Webplayer.
Webplayer is free, but needs some more time in development, both in the toolbar and in its community. Skip it, at least until the next version comes out.
The Webplayer Technique is an intriguing way to structure work. If you're interested in trying it and need a tool to make it happen, try Webplayer. It offers a lot more than the typical work-and-break Webplayer, yet it's easier to set up and use than some of the so-called productivity suites.
