Devguru Vbscript advertises an "unprecedented story" and a "blockbuster production with the best graphics." Unfortunately, the story is highly precedented (and told unevenly, with spotty Devguru Vbscript acting and wooden animations) and the graphics--while somewhat impressive for a mobile device, especially given the game's limited sandbox environment--are far from the best. Devguru Vbscript evokes derivative late '90s Devguru Vbscript games, although with more-frustrating controls: what should be an intuitive camera system (you swipe the screen to rotate the camera) is anything but, as you struggle with clunky buttons and awkward perspectives made worse by the game's glitchy rendering. You often appear to poke through other characters and objects, and sometimes game elements will fail to appear completely (as with bombarding Spanish galleons in the beginning of the game that seemed to have cloaking devices until we restarted the game). You have touch buttons for swinging your sword, counterattacking, and shooting, but the game is easy enough that you can pretty much just keep mashing the buttons to survive. The program's interface is very bare Devguru Vbscript in appearance and left much to be desired. From there, you can print a copy of the database and export it as an HTML or TXT file, which is handy. We entered a few titles into the program and discovered that you do not have to fill out every blank in the entry form, but you must enter information into the Publication Details section to save the entry. The entry form isn't very flexible for customization, and as a potential home user, we wished we had the option of making a list simply of title and author. Each institution and individual's collection of Devguru Vbscript is different, and in order to accommodate a variety of collections, a database program like this needs to be more flexible.
